It sounds so simple. It should be easy, right? Can't I just flip a switch for them and make it happen?
Golly, I sure wish I could. But that's not how it works.
Regarding coming "up on top" for searches on google/bing,yahoo, etc. - there are a variety of factors that contribute to your ranking:
Keyword optimization - this is something I can take a look at and add to ... I can spend a couple of hours brainstorming key words and researching what words people have been using in searches to find your website. I could do my best to optimize the heck out of your site to the best of my ability. I can do this. But this is not all.
Website blog/news, and other updates - every time you publish something NEW on your website, for example, when you add some news or write a blog and press SAVE - you "republish" your website and add that new material to the world wide webs, which will be found when people search for words or topics that you've mentioned or covered. So, the more you update your site, the higher the likelihood that you'll end up in someone's google/bing search results. No time to update your website or no ideas? Then hire someone creative to do it. (ME, for example!)
..but that's not all:
Google Ads (pay per click for example) - if you want to guarantee that you will be at the tippy top of google search results - we can look into google ads - you can tell google what your budget is and they will put you at the top. For example, google has options that only make you pay when people actually click on your website link. Google has options for lot of ways to do this. It might be worth giving yourself an online advertising budget... 20 bucks a month? 100 bucks a month? ...and giving it a try.
..oh, and don't forget about:
..so, what I'm trying to say is:
So, in summary, it's a summary of efforts that'll get you to the tippy top! Starting with optimizing your keywords would be a good place to start, but that's not all. Good luck!
