Not only is the way we communicate changing, but the type of economy we work in is changing rapidly as well. Richmond Creative is located in Allegan, Michigan - a small town near the Lake Michigan Shores. Until recently, Michigan's economy has been almost exclusively dependent on manufacturing and the automotive industry - both of which have bottomed out, leaving the public feeling distraught and depressed. I do not feel that this situation has left us helpless - in fact, I think the present situation opens up opportunities for us to reinvent ourselves and be at the forefront of new, green energy and automotive technologies. The future of Michigan's economy no longer involves smoke stacks, rather, miles and miles and miles, of "greenstacks". I intend to jump on this bandwagon, and assist companies that work toward this common goal of a new, green, sustainable economy.
"Agri-tourism" - which is the combination of two large industries, Agriculture and Tourism - is also alive and well and playing an intregal role in the economic success of Michigan. Enterprises such as farmers markets, fruit farms, organic farms, and wineries are proving to be wildly successful in Southwest Michigan and beyond. This is another area that I have experience in, affection for, and intend to assist in the marketing and development of.
Greener Printing is an option that I will always offer my clients. What I mean by this is: Direct Mail and the printing of promotional pieces are often necessary, but can be quite wasteful - that is why I encourage the use of recycled papers and soy-based inks, and partner with eco-friendly printing companies.
